Civic Hack Night at Ponce City Market

April 9, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

VENUE CHANGE! This month, we’ll be meeting at Ponce City Market at the Pivotal office on the seventh floor. Use the elevators near West Elm to go up.

Civic hack night is a welcoming, open space for civic-minded, social good tech projects. We invite people of all backgrounds and skill levels to participate. While writing code is usually a component of our projects, we also need participants with backgrounds in user-experience design, data science, project management, and marketing.

We’ll have pizza available, so don’t worry about dinner plans.

We start off by learning about civic projects attendees have brought and then divide ourselves into small groups to get to work. We also organize breakout groups for brainstorming new projects and host an orientation session for new members. If you have a project to work on, or you’d like to lead an interest group brainstorm, please email us at yall@codeforatlanta.org.

Bring a laptop, because most of civic hack night is spent collaborating in breakout groups.

Sign up to our Slack organization if you haven’t yet — http://slack.codeforatlanta.org — Slack is useful for sharing resources during civic hack night and keeping in touch between events.
